As a child, Michael Olodude attended St. James CAC school in Ilorin, Nigeria. Several years ago, he was inspired by the Holy Spirit to return to his former school and reach those "forgotten and left behind." Seeking to turn faith into action, he embarked on a self-funded trip to his childhood school in 2008 during which he provided various school supplies to Junior High school students at his alma mater. Amongst the items he brought to the students were books, soccer balls and classroom stationery.

Michael enlisted the help of a number of friends and co-workers the following year, and their contributions totaling over $600 enabled him to return to St. James in 2009. He was able to leave school supplies and mathematics textbooks for more than 250 Elementary and Junior High school students.

Continuing his efforts in 2010, further fundraising efforts allowed Michael to travel to St. James and present additional supplies, computer equipment and software to enhance the educational experience of the children he has been called to bless. The following year, Michael sought to expand his efforts even further by recruiting and chairing a leadership team to help strategize for the long-term under an organization that he named Abundant Commitment.

Abundant Commitment, Inc. (ACI) was formally organized as a Florida non-profit corporation in May 2011 with Dr. Richard Powell and Patrick Walters serving as co-chairmen. ACI announced its partnership with the University of South Florida Upward Bound Program during the summer of 2011, committing to award scholarships for low-income and first generation college students. In October 2011, chairman, Michael Olodude, visited his former grade school once again and delivered over $2,000 in school supplies and met with school officials to plan future campaigns and programs.

In May 2012, ACI awarded its first scholarships ever at the University of South Florida Upward Bound awards ceremony. Three deserving high school seniors were presented certificates to acknowledge their selection as recipients of the ACI Partnership Scholarship for University of South Florida Upward Bound Program students.

ACI was recognized as a tax exempt organization by the IRS under section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code in March 2013, making it eligible to receive tax deductible contributions under section 170 of the Code. In May 2013, ACI provided scholarships to USF Upward Bound students for the second consecutive year, expanding the number of awards from 3 to 7.

In 2013, ACI presented college scholarships to graduating highschool students, continung the partnership with the USF Upward Bound Program.

In 2016, ACI presented laptops and other school supplies to graduating high school students for use in college as freshmen.

In 2017, all three ACI members participated in the first group trip to Nigeria. On this trip, ACI was able to provide funding for the refurbishment and structural repair of the Gbede primary school, and was also able to provide funding for the installation of a clean water well. Large portions of school supplies were also donated on this trip

In 2019, during another ACI trip to Nigeria, a well was installed at the secondary school in Gbede. A pavillion was also constructed at the Gbede primary school for the students to gather and have their meals, and ACI also sponsored a school field trip to a local aviation flight academy. Additonal school supplies were also dontated on this trip.

In 2021, ACI plans to present scholarships to graduating students in Atlata, Georgia. These plans are subject to COVID-19 restrictions.
